Learn about global progress on country implementation of the policy actions recommended in the Global Action Plan on Physical Activity 2018-2030 (GAPPA).
WHO’s Global Action Plan on Physical Activity 2018-2030 (GAPPA) provided recommendations that, if implemented by the whole-of-government, could help countries increase levels of physical activity within their populations. These recommendations included policies to facilitate increased physical activity - safer roads for cycling and walking; designated urban spaces for active recreation where people live, work and play; and developing and implementing dedicated comprehensive national policies on physical activity.
Four years after GAPPA, the first-ever WHO Global status report on physical activity 2022 charts progress on how well governments are doing in implementing these recommendations to achieve the global target of a 15% relative reduction in the prevalence of physical inactivity by 2030.
This webinar will mark the launch of the WHO Global status report on physical activity 2022 where WHO experts, policy makers, and country representatives will look at the findings of the report and discuss what needs to be done to accelerate progress.
